Thank you so much! I spent a lot of time on the hair, and the technique that I used for her hair is something fun that I should really be using more often.

/;3; I'm happy to hear that you like it! ♥ I certainly invested a lot of effort in doing this as best I could for my dear friend, and Elphaba's skin was IMMENSELY fun to colour!

I used a combination of different things, actually! I used Copic markers primarily, but I also used some watercolour and some coloured pencil for a few of the details- Elphaba's cape and hat, for example, had a base of pure watercolour and then were built upon with marker.

This looks awesome and exactly like I imagined her while reading the book. I really like how you used a natural flesh tone for her highlights! It gives her a more natural and human element than using monochrome green for her skin.

Thank you very much for your compliments! I was at a loss for background at first, but after examining the reference photographs of Wicked on-stage I was really struck by the beauty of all those criss-crossing spotlights and decided to challenge myself to incorporate that element.
