I have actually no idea what it is. It looks like some sort of evil orb to me, eating everything that looks edable (favourite meal: human
). That is at least what explains the blood.
Also it somewhat resembles Homunculus-sama from FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood to me, but that just may be the shape.
Also I thought it'd be fun to make my pic in photoshop.
