Penelope Penhallow is another curious case. What drove this young woman to spray paint a toy gun and walk into a bank alone foolheartedly demanding money without much plan of how she would get away with her heist still causes officers to scratch their heads.

Penelope comes from a well off family and grew up in a silver spoon environment until her parents decided enough was enough, and it was time for the young Miss Penhallow to find her own means of luxurious living. In spite of her parents and her upbringing Penelope decided that committing armed robbery would show her parents right, as well as get her all they money she would need to maintain her current expenditure that had previously taken up space on her fathers credit card.

Unfortunately inmate Penhallow made for a sorry excuse for a stickup artist. What money she made off with from the bank was soiled by dye packs placed in her bag by the dutiful bank teller, and she was arrested by officers after being perused in a short foot chase through the downtown core of Detroit. She is laughably considered one of the most incompetent bank robbers that the police department of Detroit has seen in quite some time.

Penelope now sits in a 8 x 10ft cell in the Huron Valley Correctional Facility where she lives with one other inmate. Her time is split between being locked up in her cell, and a communal dayroom where she navigates the complexities of daily life living with other convicts. She's known as somewhat of an obnoxious inmate by guards and prisoners alike, as she has issues keeping her mouth shut when something is bothering her. This frequently leads to trouble for her, as the guards and other prisoners tire easily of her incessant nagging and complaints about the inmate life. She has earned herself more than a handful of nights spent in solitary confinement simply because the guards in her pod were tired of hearing her talk. While it happens less frequently, when Penhallow does piss off the wrong inmate, the situation can become volatile quickly. If inmate Penhallow cannot learn to keep things to herself and continues to create conflict in her pod, she may have to be given a more permanent place in administrative detention, where she won't have anyone to complain to but the four concrete walls of her cell. This would potentially be a much more miserable place for her to spend the duration of her sentence.

She will serve 20 years in state prison for armed robbery and resisting arrest. Her parents occasionally visit her on weekends. If her intention was to upset them and make them regret cutting her off from their finances, then it has to be asked if Penelope feels satisfied when they see her escorted out to visit them in her orange prison jumpsuit.
