Boomer is a character who appeared in the British TV series, TUGS. Boomer first appeared in the episode, Jinxed.

Kind a caring, Boomer is a tug who would be willing to do any job if it weren't for one little problem... He was a jinx. "I used to be called Captain Harry, but then I was sold and my new owner painted out my old name and called me Boomer. That's when all the trouble started," is what Boomer told Ten Cents and Sunshine. Throughout the episode Boomer suffered from several unfortunate events. He even started to sink! Fortunatly he landed on an old sunken garbage barge and was only sunk half-way. Afterwards he was sold to the Z-stacks, but after a munitions barge, that he was pulling, blew up he was quickly sent back to the Star Tugs and was given jobs where nothing could go wrong. Unfortunatly, one day Boomer was taking a boat out to sea and it caught fire. After that Captain Star declared that Boomer was never to be used as a tug again. Ten Cents and Sunshine took Boomer to Lucky's Yard. Two weeks later they were sent to take Boomer up river. They thought that they were taking Boomer up river so he could be sunk, but instead they found out that Boomer was converted into a house boat and they took him to a place that was ironically called, Dun' Tuggin'. Now Boomer lives happily up river and the jinx is finally gone.
