Vortex was painted green. He brands an old World War I helmet and is the only tug in Bigg City Port with a machine gun turret mounted on his deck. He has claimed that he did fight in World War I, but few of the tugs in Bigg City Port beleive him. Unlike Bluenose, Sargeant Vortex NEVER puts orders before common sense. He accuses Bluenose of being poorly trained. He is of higher rank then Bluenose so he has no problems with helping to keep Bluenose from harrassing the Star Tugs and Z-stacks with orders. He's gruff and sometimes feels worn down. He has been thinking of retiring to a small cove near Bigg City Port, where he can live the rest of his days being used as a fishing boat... That is... If the Navy doesn't decide to blow him up first.
