= Sixteen contestants….

All of them, joining and participating in the madman’s game, hosted by Calypso, for selfish gains of wonder. A single wish, earned by slaughtering and destroying countless cities and bystanders in the name of a barbaric and ungodly tournament…

Twisted Metal.

However, two beings of the underworld grow tired of seeing their beloved contest bastardized by Calypso’s recent tactics. Taking a once sacred spectacle hosted by the Gods to cleanse the souls of Hell for a powerful army, now reduced to a pathetic demolition derby, one where any random imbecile could enter and waste Hell’s gift for something so... meaningless. This would not fly for this years final contestants…

Minion, son of Satan, and original champion of Twisted Metal in Hell, before Calypso outsmarted him and stole his birthright eleven years ago, thus causing a long hatred against him. He was summoned by the one who truly rules the underworld, as well the one who granted Calypso his wish...

Along with him, the one known as “Mr. Ash”, a shadow who lurks to spread his own mischief on the world, mainly by his “weapon”. BLACK. However, Black was piloting one of the many Juggernauts sent to kill Calypso, but was destroyed. Rubbing more salt in the wound, Calypso had already stolen Ash’s designs for The Juggernaut itself, manufacturing them all across LA for his own nefarious deeds. Capitalizing on his death.

Their contest insulted, Ash's weapon destroyed, and worst of all his idea for a powerful death machine were stolen without his permission. These reasons are more than enough justification for their attack on Calypso. For now, he will pay dearly for his mockery.

Mr. Ash also has some slight ties to the dwarf from Dollface's story mode, as it is implied he was the one who granted the short doctor the ability to curse the masses with mystical voodoo magic. Ash however, was given the very first mask to ever be worn. Burned onto his face after their incident of being banished from Heaven by God. The lord using holiest of metals to scar his face till the end of time.
But regardless, Ash demanded recompense for his trusted weapons being tarnished, and his contest being insulted by Calypso's deceptive tendencies. Now partnered with Minion, the two formed an unholy alliance, free from the prisons of Hell by an ancient spell again by said dwarf, to take back what is rightfully theirs. When the massacre is all over, these two will stand above all ruins, whilst Calypso begs and screams for mercy.

(The darken night skies of Diesel City, slowly driving towards their destination, the massive behemoth Juggernaut, heading to their first battleground. Suddenly the machine stops, Ash looking out the drivers window seeing the massive tower before him. Its name glowing under the blackened night. In a deep foreboding voice, the masked man speaks.)

Once reaching the main office, there he decided to conduct business. Calypso, standing by the window, looking down at the city he was given for his own enjoyment of suffering.)

Mr. Ash| "I make no compromise you will deliver them to me or else!!"

(Minion slowly walked towards Calypso, ready to kill him then and there if he does not comply. Calypso, master deceiver as he is, was already one step ahead.)

Calypso| "Sorry Ash... I'd love to hand over your prize. But it seems you two gentlemen, are already out of time."

Mr. Ash| "What!? ....No... IMPOSSIBLE!! We used the spell to stay on Earth!"

Calypso| "You mean "Arbidus Lyancthrum" ... Poor Mr. Ash... for a keeper of magic, I thought you would've been well aware of that spell's fatal flaw...

It only works for 78 hours..."

Mr. Ash| "But...that worthless dwarf said it lasted forever! THIS CANNOT BE!!"

Calypso| "I knew you two were going to come eventually, so I found that dwarf before you did. To put it simply, he gave you the wrong spell on purpose... better luck next time."

(Suddenly Minion and Ash were vanishing from thin air, the spell keeping them on Earth had ran its toll...)

Mr. Ash| "I wont go back empty handed!!"

(Ash ran to Calypso and tried to strangle him. Arms slowly catching fire, as his body began burning. He hadn't felt the scorching pain such as this the day he was exiled by God.)

Mr. Ash| "Minion, grab Black! NOW!!"

(Minion attempted to rip the chamber off the wall, holding Black imprisoned. But Calypso's security tried to intervene. Minion however, ripped them all to pieces in a bloody, gorey fashioned. Even smashing those with said chamber. But eventually, Minion and the tube returned to Hell in a haze of fire and smoke. Ash, still chocking Calypso claims he shall return, this time with a better spell just before his body fades to nothing.)

Mr. Ash| "This isn't over Calypso... we shall return!! This contest will be mine, and no one will stop me!!"

(Smirking, Calypso just stood there by his desk, as we now return to Ash and Minion in Hell. Though he hadn't gotten his true prize, the very least Black was back to his arsenal... or so he thought...

Opening the container, a imp like demon jumped out and scurried away before being engulfed in hellfire... Calypso tricked them. Black wasn't in containment afterall. Though weather Calypso was telling the truth of his initial survival, remains unclear.

Mr. Ash| "He played me for a damn fool... when I find that dwarf... he will pay for his deception!"

Minion| "Fret not master... perhaps we will meet again... in the next tournament!"

(Minion, under a hidden cave, he shows his master a secret weapon, suddenly unraveling his massive Tanker truck, equipped with several armed war-missiles and artillery guns. Minion shall join next year's contest... solo.

When the time comes...)

*Trivia)
*Mr. Ash was the first original driver of Darkside in both Twisted Metal 1 and 3, however upon Twisted Metal Black, Dollface would become more recognizable as the main driver ever since. However, in TM2012, Juggernaut literally uses the exact same front cab of Darkside, just with a massive trailer attached. Knowing this fact, I felt having Ash as Juggernaut's driver would be more than appropriate. Minion being an added bonus to emphasize the "Juggernaut" part of their name, regarding a powerhouse of a vehicle with a deathly duo piloting it.

*Keen eyed fans of the first few games will notice I've snuck in a few references to their past endings/bio screen. (Minion referring to being "Linked" as stated in his TM2 Bio, and Ash's infamous "There are things you will never truly understand" quote from his live action ending in Twisted Metal 1.)

*Juggernaut has a special move that's only obtainable in Multiplayer, involving a smaller vehicle driven by another player, driving inside the massive trailer of Juggernaut, which would allow the other player to fire the minigun above Juggernaut's roof during combat. When playing singleplayer however, this special cannot be used as intended because of this.

*Juggernaut is possibly a reference to "The Dreadnaught" from Death Race (2008).

*In an interview with David Jaffe, he did confirm that Mr. Ash was supposed to be Twisted Metal's version of "The Devil". However, with TM2012's case, Calypso seems to have taken this spot instead, officially. Even more bizarre, in the Twisted Metal 2 Promo Comic book from PlayStation Magazine confirmed Satan was infact his own character separate from Mr Ash altogether, so who really knows at this point.

*The ending is essentially a warped version of Mr. Ash's Twisted Metal 1 ending, regarding the fact of retrieving Black, but also as a teaser for a hypothetical "Twisted Metal2012 (2) /Sequel" showing the backstory of how Minion prepares for the next tournament.

(Minion, under a hidden cave, he shows his master a secret weapon, suddenly unraveling his massive Tanker truck, equipped with several armed war-missiles and artillery guns. Minion shall join next year's contest... solo.

*Trivia)
*Mr. Ash was the first original driver of Darkside in both Twisted Metal 1 and 3, however upon Twisted Metal Black, Dollface would become more recognizable as the main driver ever since. However, in TM2012, Juggernaut literally uses the exact same front cab of Darkside, just with a massive trailer attached. Knowing this fact, I felt having Ash as Juggernaut's driver would be more than appropriate. Minion being an added bonus to emphasize the "Juggernaut" part of their name, regarding a powerhouse of a vehicle with a deathly duo piloting it.

*Keen eyed fans of the first few games will notice I've snuck in a few references to their past endings/bio screen. (Minion referring to being "Linked" as stated in his TM2 Bio, and Ash's infamous "There are things you will never truly understand" quote from his live action ending in Twisted Metal 1.)

*Juggernaut has a special move that's only obtainable in Multiplayer, involving a smaller vehicle driven by another player, driving inside the massive trailer of Juggernaut, which would allow the other player to fire the minigun above Juggernaut's roof during combat. When playing singleplayer however, this special cannot be used as intended because of this.

*Juggernaut is possibly a reference to "The Dreadnaught" from Death Race (2008).

*In an interview with David Jaffe, he did confirm that Mr. Ash was supposed to be Twisted Metal's version of "The Devil". However, with TM2012's case, Calypso seems to have taken this spot instead, officially. Even more bizarre, in the Twisted Metal 2 Promo Comic book from PlayStation Magazine confirmed Satan was infact his own character separate from Mr Ash altogether, so who really knows at this point.

*The ending is essentially a warped version of Mr. Ash's Twisted Metal 1 ending, regarding the fact of retrieving Black, but also as a teaser for a hypothetical "Twisted Metal2012 (2) /Sequel" showing the backstory of how Minion prepares for the next tournament.
