Introduction

Pursia Fulwell is an heiress that enjoys action and adventure along wither her companion Jennifer Redfern. They undertake assignments for wealthy acquaintances of Pursia’s mother.

Part 1 – The Proposal

Lady Ariadne, Duchess of Kennington, presents the distressing case of the disappearance of her daughter – Lady Sarah - whose last known location was on a remote South Pacific island. Lady Ariadne seemed reluctant to explain how she knew this but in the end the full story had to be told. Family legend had it that fortune and power were to be found in a cave on this island and Sarah had gone to seek it out – against the better judgment of her mother, although her father, the Duke, had been more supportive and greatly assisted in her travels. But too much time had now past and concerns for her wellbeing were growing. To preserve the secrecy of the legend, Sarah had gone alone but the time had come for a rescue mission and the Duke and Duchess had decided to consult a few trusted people to form a rescue party. Pursia agreed to maintain her confidence and to undertake the mission.
