During their date, the two love-bats rest in a cemetery and Valerie relates to Jake about her family life, and all expectations they have for her. Other monsters call Jake names like “Mutt” or “Valerie’s pet”, but in Valerie’s mind, she feels more like she’s the one on the end of a leash.(This is meant to be a teaser for another comic strip that goes into more detail on the matter, but I don't think I'll have enough time this month to make it.)
