One thing I wanted to do was solidify who Den's Digimon Partner was. For years I had leaned towards OC Type Digimon for the Rookie, but none of them fully felt right. I decided to go with a preexisting Digimon later, and leaned towards Strabimon, but that had expectations for Lobomon and MagnaGarurumon that didn't fit Den, so I went with Psychemon.

The early D-Custom Den is wearing is mostly a reference to earlier Digimon fan projects I used to see on dA back in the day that consisted of watch style Digivices. It's also based on those old 80's watch-calculator things because additional retro.

GRB Factor is a recent Ghost Game concept introduced via GulusGammamon's Digivolved form Regulusmon. Because of GRB's similarity to the infection from Tri, I just decided to combine the two concepts for a bit of synergy. White Fang is an organization that's... loosely connected to tri. It's thought by many to be a scrapped concept, as it appears in Next Order as part of tri themed DLC, where the teens of Next Order help out a dimensionally displaced Meicoomon who was separated from Meiko during a skirmish with the vaguely defined White Fang group. Like King Drasil, White Fang wanted to use Meicoomon for their own ambitions, but never came to pass as the DLC seems to be the remains of this concept that was apparently too late to change. Others have suggested White Fang instead refers to Hackmon, who was observing Meicoomon in the OVA, but it doesn't line up with Next Order, which makes it clear its a separate concept. It's been assumed tri. was originally meant to go a different direction, along with the unusual set up for Alphamon, Daigo and Maki's weakened prominence, White Fang, and the complete shift after the third film, something had to go on behind the scenes, altering the final product into what we got. What little has come out points to financial woes early on that forced a change...

Anyhoo, I've wanted to incorporate White Fang somehow, and decided to combine it with Juan Carver shenanigans to make better sense as to his connections with Adventure Zone.

Updated: Since I was fleshing out the Zone backstory more since drawing this, I fleshed out Den's original group that came to Adventure Zone, and included another in Bunsen, who will go on to be Poindexter and Bika's father.
