Shiloh's realization of his soul color came to him slowly, long after most had already discovered theirs. He feared that he wasn't meant to be in these Trials after all, that he should go home and let the true chosen souls cure the red plague. As the frost crept along his whiskers and over his paws, his fears of not belonging in the Trials melted away. A new sense of purpose blossomed within him. His mind raced with questions, how could these powers be used to help his family? Would they be disappointed when they found out he was a purple soul? Surely he could only keep them cold, green or even red would have been a better help to them...

Despite these thoughts, his heart whispered, "This feels right, this is who you are." He was no longer afraid.
