Well, I make a custom based on what ship you pic. With surprises you only pic gender, and colors you want/don't want ( this means just a few colors you'd like like if it was a Lyra X bonbon, you could pick yellow or pink, ect. Even colors that don't show on the ponies, or recessive genes )
With custom you pick colors, species (peg,unicorn, or earth) and gender of course.
