Archie is a cheerful, energetic, and open-minded person; she comes across as a bit scatterbrained and absent-minded sometimes, but is actually very systematic and organized. She has a very vivid and active imagination, and can often be seen scribbling down ideas and writing stories. When it comes to interacting with people, however, she tends to be a bit oblivious. Flirting and subtexts generally fly right over her head - which isn't to say she's terribly innocent herself. She just doesn't recognize romantic overtures when they're directed at her. And although she loves making friends and talking with people, her mental filter isn't all that strong. She's very kindhearted and sweet most of the time, but speaking her mind can be a double-edged sword.
Biography
Ever since she was very young, Archie has enjoyed writing and sharing the works of others. However, she saw a lot of people mocking fanfiction writers or trying to exploit and censor their works. As she grew older, she started compiling different types of fanworks into a format that made them accessible to everyone, trying to encourage the idea that fanworks were as legitimate an artform as any other. It took several years for people to start noticing what she was doing, since there were others that had been doing the same thing for longer, but after a few years she had a huge and sudden explosion in popularity. Her collection has been growing rapidly ever since, and while she's still working to develop her system, her archive has become one of the most popular fanwork sites on the Internet.

Stretching his arms behind him, Finn tried to stifle a yawn as he walked through the oddly quiet park. He had ended up streaming for far too long last night which resulted in him barely getting any sleep. "Perhaps I should lay off of the sugar before bed..yeah that'd probably help a little."
Musing to himself he searched for his usual tree he'd sleep under for these special occasions but instead the sight of a white haired female writing into a notebook hurriedly caught his attention. Finn smiled as the thought of his Fanfiction friend, Julienne came to mind and rubs his eyes to shake off the sleep; it'd be no good if he fell asleep on the girl!
Eventually approaching her, Finn takes a seat beside her and peeks over her shoulder to see the contents of the notebook without her noticing. Yep she was definitely writing some sort of story with what appears to have some anime character as the main character. After peeking he flashes her a bright smile, "are you a Fanfiction website?" Of course he curious, maybe he was a long lost cousin of his friend or something.

Archie hummed to herself cheerily, enjoying the feeling of her pencil scratching against paper. She had been planning this story for months and she was finally in the right mood to write it. Oh, it was gonna be great - next-door-neighbor AUs were her favorites.
Her pencil paused when the young man sat down beside her. She returned his smile with an equally bright one before resuming her story. "Yep! Archive of Our Own. Less inconveniently called AO3. Name's Archie!" She glanced over at her new neighbor's headset and laptop. "You're probably a music site. Or a streaming site. Am I right?" She gave him another cheerful smile and turned her notebook to a fresh page. Oh - hopefully she wasn't intruding on his usual spot in the park.

"Archie? Oh how cool, you share the same name as a person in the Pokémon series." Finn pointed out and chuckles, "but that's sweet; I don't see many fanfiction websites around here!"
Swinging his legs a little, he set down his laptop next to him gently and hums a little hearing the question. "I'm a livestreaming website meant for video games known as Twitch. But please call me Finn instead!"

Archie laughs, tapping her pencil against her chin. "Hey, you're right! Pokemon's Archie is cool. Except for the ecoterrorism. But hey, nobody's perfect!" Ooo, she should write a new ORAS fanfic sometime. Maybe a Victorian AU, or a volleyball team AU - oh man, Team Aqua versus Team Magma in a volleyball game, how great would that - right, conversation.
"Nice to meet you, then, Finn!" she chirps, tucking her pencil behind her ear and setting her notebook aside. "Hey, Twitch, though - where have I heard that? Um -" She thinks for a second, hand tapping rapidly on her knee, before she snaps her fingers triumphantly. "Twitch Plays Pokemon! There are about - hm, 65 fanfics for that on my site. Seemed like a real roller coaster ride, from what I gathered about it."

Finn nods excitedly, pleased to see that she understood what he was referencing towards. "Well he did atone for his mistakes at the end, it was a pretty emotional scene with his crewmates." It was amusing watching how the website in front of him would make that dreamy expression for a moment, maybe she was getting story ideas?
But regardless his eyes light up at the mentioning of the ever so popular TPP his website held, although he never expected to have any fanfiction on it. "Oh jeez it was a ride, we even made our own religion from it! Though I hope none of those fanfics are about Lord Helix getting down and dirty with his prophets.." He faked a grimace for a moment before his cheery smile came back.

Archie laughs, pulling her pencil from behind her ear again to tap it against the ground. "None that I remember, nope! Well - there was that one - no, wait, never mind, I'm thinking of a different fandom. Lord Helix's chastity is safe for now - can't really speak for other fanfiction sites, though." She hums contentedly, and the colorful strands in her hair shift for a moment as she organizes her thoughts.
"It is interesting, though, seeing how many different ways people interpret the characters and events! The stream was such an open-ended medium, so it made a really good creative canvas for people to project their ideas on." She sighs happily, leaning her head back against the tree. "People were having a great time, even outside of the stream itself! Congrats, honestly, on hosting a very successful Internet phenomenon."

Finn hummed in contentment at there being no fanfictions about what he had mentioned, "good, good. I only have to 'worry' about Tumblr then, they tend to give me the weird fanfics..Even ones written about me!" He laughed a little remembering the hilarious stories he read that starred himself. He remembers his friend using the word 'crack' when referring to such stories.
"Ahah definitely! I remember for the longest time my inbox would just be full of fanart about TPP, and it made me very excited to see how successful it managed to be." Finn smiled as he watched her sigh delightedly, this was actually the second time someone had congratulated him for the success. "But thank you Archie! I wish it could have lasted longer though, since the general buzz seemed to disappear after the second generation."

Archie laughs, shaking her head. "Oh, man don't get me started on Tumblr. We share fics a lot, since our user bases work in similar ways, but some of their stuff is kind of. Um. Different?" She spins her pencil absently. "Not that I have room to judge though - I've come up with some pretty weird stuff myself. Just kinda comes with the territory, I guess, huh?"
She nods in agreement. "People just got tired of it, I guess. It's a shame, honestly, but at least it was lots of fun while it lasted, right?" She blows a piece of hair out of her face. "And I'm sure you'll come up with something else that will be just as cool! Fandoms come and go, but there's always new stuff to come up with!" That's what makes being a fanfiction site so much fun, in her opinion. She picks up her notebook and jots down a few more sentences in her story, humming quietly. "You said there aren't a whole lot of fanfiction sites around here, right? How many others have you met?"

"It's not just the fanfictions they make for me, but also the fangames and such they find for me to play." Finn fakes a shudder as he recalls that night just FILLED with Shrek themed games and Sonic.exe ripoffs. "Some fandoms are just weirder than others, that's all."
"Well it was just a test-run to see what the viewers enjoy as well." Saying that he gives her a relaxed smile as he rest his hands on his lap. "So from the information we gained from it, we can do even bigger and better things!"
Finn hums in confirmation at her question, "yep I've only met two of them so far. There's Wyatt; Wattpad and Julienne who actually IS Fanfiction." He was pretty friendly with both of the websites, but he knew that they had a crazy amount of dedication to writing.

Archie claps excitedly, nearly dropping her pencil. "Oh, I've met Julienne! He's so nice! And that little fanfiction book of his is super handy, too." She tilts her head. "Come to think of it, I should get one of those. Maybe I can ask him where he got it next time we talk." Although she wasn't sure when that would be, and maybe it was a thing specific to his site, and oh hmm magic book, magic bookstore, magical used bookstore AU oh my gosh that's perfect -
Yanking her brain back from wherever it was drifting off to, she makes a quick note at the top of the page that simply says "bookstore AU". That should be enough to remember later, right?
Blinking and re-focusing on her conversation with Finn, she shifts her legs to a more comfortable position and smiles cheerfully at him. "So there aren't a whole lot of fanfiction sites, but are there any other streaming sites around here besides you?"

Finn smiled wide upon hearing that the two have met before, "right? Julienne is super nice, he's probably one of the only people to accept joining a livestream of mine. But I'm sure he'd be glad to help you out on finding what you need." He wasn't quite sure what this book was that she was referring to, but he chuckled seeing her dreamy look appear once again and then her scribbling down something in her note book quickly; it was most definitely that she was thinking about story ideas.
"Not really dude, there's not many livestreaming websites to begin with really. The only person I can actually recall would be Johnny, or Join.me as most would know him." Shrugging a little he didn't mind the lack of streaming websites, he was already having enough troubles trying to compete with Youtube. A bitter taste was left in his mouth as he recalled the person who owned the website, but made sure the girl next to him didn't take notice.

"Ohhh, gotcha." Archie propped her notebook against her knees and began writing again. "I haven't met Johnny yet, but I've heard about him! He seems like he's pretty cool." She blinked. "Although - you're also really cool. Must just be a streaming site thing!" She paused and read over her last couple sentences, suddenly glad that fanfiction sites generally didn't compete all that much - she could have friendly conversations with any of them without any bad blood between them, regardless of popularity differences. Sometimes she forgot that it wasn't the same way with every type of site - although she didn't particularly notice that Finn was upset, she imagined that competition could lead to some bitterness.
She hummed quietly, continuing her story on the next page. "Oh, by the way - am I in your spot or anything? I kinda took over Julienne's usual tree a few days ago, too, and I don't wanna be a bother."

"I agree! He seems to be a very nice person, though a little bit defensive towards certain things.." Or a certain someone Finn retorted in his mind as Pintra came to mind. Those two websites were practically inseparable and it was quite rare to see them alone. "Maybe it's because we have to constantly please our audience?" He questioned not even sure of the answer himself.
"Oh but it's fine, don't worry yourself about it!" Finn uses a hand to pat the tree behind him, "it's not like I own the tree or anything either; so rest all you'd like~"

Archie nodded cheerfully, allowing herself to relax against the tree again. "Oh, good. It really is a good tree for resting, isn't it?" Resting tree, sleeping tree, sleeping curses, cursed tree luring travellers in to rest and never letting them wake up, on second thought maybe she should move away from the tree a bit.
Archie tapped her pencil absently against her notebook, letting her mind wander through various ideas, many of them now involving cursed trees. She couldn't seem to get herself to focus on what she was actually writing - but then, that was a problem she was used to having. Too many thoughts floating around in her head at once. Sighing, she leaned her head back against the tree and tried to organize her thoughts. "Finn, does your brain ever get too talkative when you're trying to do a stream? Like you're thinking about so many other streams you want to do later that you can't concentrate on the one you're doing?" Then again, that might just be her. She could imagine video games were easier to focus on - they were designed that way, after all - and Finn didn't seem like the fanciful type anyway. But hey, maybe he would still get what she meant.

"Definitely, it really does give a good amount of shade under here!" He tilts his head upwards to look at the many leaves which had a little bit of sunlight peeking through them.
Often he'd find some other people sleeping under trees in the park (or even living inside the park,) but before he could continue the thought he raised an eyebrow curiously at her scooting away.
"I've never really had the issue since I'm supposed to be talkative for my livestreams, plus I always liked to notify my watchers of any ideas that I may have. If they general response is positive then I could totally go for it! We're a pretty solid community there." He smiled as he said that, "but I do tend to forget some of the things I think about though."
