Description
ahh, i remember when i bought my first R&C game when i was 7 (iv got my brother 2 thank for urging me 2 help him buy the game 4 us) i fell in love with it immediately and played it every day when i got home from school.I then discovered there were more games and I just had to get my hands on them.
fortunately my brother bought the second game and we were constantly taking in turns to play it, my brother wasn't very good at sharing it though as he always said that the sun was in his eyes when he died in the game.
I then bought the third one and that was probably the best game ever!! i love dr nefarious, he was the best villain ever, i was constantly replaying cut scenes just to hear him say 'LAWRENCEEEEEE' XD these were some of my fav moments [link] lawrence was also a fav of mine!
I then bought gladiator (since i live in europe, the games called gladiator and not deadlocked) I still loved it to bits, i was still replaying episodes over and over again.
I didnt rly like ace hardlight since he was such a damn jerk and i also hated pox news when they always had a dig at ratchet. you would not believe the amount of times i swore at a television screen! XD
unfortunately, my PS2 died (it was originally my brother's, but i bought it off him) the PS2 had been running 4 10 years!!! no wonder it was dead! I was quite upset that I could no longer buy the next series like size matters or secret agent clank (that's why there missing) after a while the games started collecting dust and my brother suggested selling them so i could make some money but i just couldn't part with my favorite games so i kept them on the shelf.
as i got older, the R&C games came out on Ps3 and there I was begging at my parents feet 4 a Ps3 but they thought it would interfere with my studies so they refused. i constantly looked at the cut scenes 4 the game and i loved how the graphics had improved so much and the new characters like alister azimuth and Percival tachyon. i especially loved how nefarious came back and looked more bad-ass than ever XD but i started 2 lose interest because i thought id never get the games, so i thought 'whats the point?'
But after pleading with my parents 4 2 years (and getting far better grades at school) 2 buy me a ps3 they finally got me one and i was practically the happiest girl in the world. straight after connecting it up i ordered my brother to buy me the games, i only had enough money 4 TOD and ACIT. they arrived 2 days later and already I had fallen under the insomniac spell XD i completed both games in under 2 days!! i shouldnt have played ACIT before I had gotten Q4B but i just couldnt wait 2 see those amazing graphics and to be honest it was worth it
I eventually did get Q4B, as you can see from the pic, but my brother got it imported from Germany so the box came in German!! i was a little pissed but at least the game was in english so i didnt mind that much.
My brother inst into the games anymore, hes so immature now and hes 18 nearly 19!! hes always telling me im a saddo and i should get a life but i just tell him 2 f*** off.
Iv made a contract with myself that I will not play my PS3 on school days and only on weekends (trust me, its rly hard sticking 2 that!!) since im doing my GCSE's the work load has gotten a lot heavier so i have 2 be more serious when it comes 2 work.
So these games hold a lot of memories

Wow, the game covers look really similar to those in my country!
My collection, however, is a slight bit bigger. I don't have TOD but I do have the two games that were produced by High Impact Games.

Yeah, that's right. It's different in Australia compared to America. For example, in America, a T-rated game would be similar to a PG-13 movie. In Australia, there are no rating differences between movies and games. E-rated games would be G, E10+ would be PG, T would be M, and M (Mature) would be MA15+.

No, no, Ratchet and Clank are rated G and PG in my country. I'm just explaining the comparison of material rating for multimedia. MA15+, in Australia, is related to M for Mature in America. I listed four ratings in Australia, but there's a fifth which is R18+, which is similar to your PEGI 18+ rating for games. There hasn't been any R-rated games in Australia, and (this has been debated for a very long time, like years) the government is still trying to decide whether the R18+ rating should be in or out.

yeah so in ur country its parental guidence rated which would probably be like 7+ in the uk i think
thats a little confusing but mabye its because ur countries ratings r different 2 mine so there deciding wether 2 get rid of 18+ rating? i wonder why they would do that
btw what does r-rated mean, isnt that for mature.

You're getting closer. The PG-rated games are usually for subtle warnings like "mild violence." Anything mild would be fine for kids and pre-teens. M-rated games would be somewhere around "Moderate violence" with some course language (if a game has any) and games rated MA15+ would have stuff like "Strong violence" where blood and guts can be seen on-screen.
The R18+ is simply like an R-rated movie, as in "Restricted to persons 18 years and over." The government is concerned about the amount of games that have strong elements shown on-screen, like extreme violence, lots of crude language, sexual and drug references, even some horror depending the game's genre (category like action, role-playing, adventure, sci-fi or horror). Usually stuff like that can easily be rated for a movie, where the R18+ rating is applicable. When it comes to games, it's usually something to keep kids playing games that only adults are allowed to play, like "Fallout 3," "Assassin's Creed II" or even "Grand Theft Auto" (which I hate).

ok i get it now, so PG is 4 ratchet and clank because of the mild violence! so do u think they should get rid of the R18+?

Yep, that's right.
Honestly, if the rating gets approved, there may be more games that will become too gruesome for most people to look at without a stomach ache. But then again, there have been a number of games in Australia where the censored versions have been sold and not the uncensored ones. In New Zealand, you can find anything without anything censored, which puts the Australian markets in competition to those in New Zealand, which makes the New Zealanders lucky.
