History:
Sterling's family was of the "purebred" mindset, believing that the key to maintaining strength. This mindset, while outdated in many parts, is a tradition his family has adhered to for centuries.

Because of this, arranged marriages with other "pure" families is not uncommon.

He is the seventh of eight brothers.

Having been fed the "pure" mindset his entire life, it was a culture shock when he encountered others who did not partake in that way. After realizing that it wasn't the only way of life, he started spending more time outside, especially on the Sunny Slope, where he encountered Team Thunderstruck during one of their dungeon runs.

After a long discussion with their cramorant, Avner, the fletchling started desiring more for himself- adventure, a life free of the expectations of others. During one of their later visits to the dungeon, he asked their fomantis (Maeve) if the leaders were looking for recruits.

Turns out they were.

He joined then and there.
