So far so good! Trying to keep my artistic butt in gear over here, and should hopefully have one more piece finished before March finishes. Just need to pump out another couple of sketches too XD

This was actually my first sketch of February, but I totally put it on procrastination mode, because I bloody well KNEW that background was going to take forever See all the grass? I went through an Avril Lavigne album, a Nickelback album, and halfway through a Big Shiny Tunes album before that was all coloured. JUST THE FREAKING GRASS! orz The rest of it went quicker thankfully >>; The things I do as a labour of love (don't get me wrong - I really like how it looks once it's done~)

But yes, this was another product of me pestering ZaneRedrald when he was still here, for an image he thought I should redraw. He ended up picking this one: blushbunnyc3.deviantart.com/ar… All the way back from 2006! Needless to say, I was easily convinced.

I kinda altered the scene a LOT, because the older one is... ridiculously cheesy to me now (multiple reasons) So I decided to draw something happier (maybe still a tad cheesy, but at least canon cheese ), and made the surroundings a little more secluded and intimate~ I seem to enjoy depicting Masevar (the orange gerbil fellow) being extremely chivalrous with his lady He's a prince - it's how he rolls! And you certainly don't see Aleena (the cream feline miss) complaining

The title comes from the song from the animated film Anastasia - I actually ended up buying the soundtrack (nice thrift store find ) and got the movie for Xmas - it's just one of those songs that makes me think of these two :3 And some of the lyrics can be considered fitting! Have some here (I recommend looking up the full song for listening enjoyment ):

This pairing has pretty much been with me since my Sonic (Underground) fandom days (when I used to ship Queen Aleena with my version of her husband/the triplet's father, Masevar, who used to be a red Manic recolour - it's so dumb when I look back on it now xD BUT IT WAS MY JAM BACK THEN, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. *dies* It was definitely rewarding once I started my own original series and gave them the original personas they have here now :'D But yes, those nostalgic beginnings are always quite the time to look back on~ Time and growth are an amazing thing!
