In void, she stirred from deep slumber. They felt off, but as a light reached closer and closer, they changed.
CHANGED.
They tumbled out of their hammock, spikes of pain shooting up her spine. She couldn’t feel her back, she could only feel the pain flaring up.
Disoriented from the fall, they tried to push themselves up, but it left them sobbing and whimpering from the agony.
NEW.
They breathed, and kept breathing, waiting for ages until the pain began residing. A final breath until there was only a dull ache. Though exhausted, she turned to look at the source of her distress. Her tail had elongated, that was the source of the aches. But at the tip… It was a freakish jaw at the end of they’re tail, with muscles that helped it unhinge its maw.
EVOLVED?
Exhausted, she picked herself up. They were too tired to think about her new tail. However, their balance was going to be really off until they figured out walking
She didn’t know what she was going to do.
