Description
Shattuckite pseudomorph after Calcite with Malachite and DioptaseTantara Mine, Shinkolobwe, Kambove District, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo
Indigo blue shattuckite replaces sharp calcite crystals, resembling dark blue pyramids towering over the surface. Apparently, these are double pseudomorphs, as a few rare specimens have showed that dioptase replaces the calcite first, then the shattuckite replaces the dioptase. Associated with malachite and emerald-green dioptase crystals. These specimens were found from only a single find that spanned the end of 2010 to early 2011.

Never have heard of this mineral and the pseudomorphosis but I love the dark blue shine though crystal (or most likely aggregate) points!
Great shot!
