Taken in Arches National Park over 2 hours. The moon is just coming up behind the rock formations. That is Jupiter creating the brightest streak. This type of picture is achieved by stacking many many pictures, in this case about 170, together with a program. There are many out there, I used 'Startrails version 2.1', availabe as a FREE download. You can also create timelapse with the resulting images and the Startrails software will do a trail blazing timelapse, its a lot of fun.
