I find your background story to lucifer very much like the one in the book 'Paradise Lost' by somethingerother milton. That was a good book. Anyway, good work. I especially like the one winged angel gettup. Though it does remind me of sepiroth. Especially the hair+one wing+long sword

You are officially the second person I know of who has depicted Lucifer as a blonde. And I actually read through your entire description. Absolutely fascinating. I'm quite obsessed with angels, Gabriel and Lucifer (in his various forms) in particular.
If you're curious, the first person who depicts Lucifer as a blonde is me. :3
As for the art itself, absolutely gorgeous work. He's very radiant.

FINALLY! someone else that knows the original story on Lucifer and his fall...all I hear is his perception as this devil shaped like a mis-begotten goat. lol! Thank you!! I really did A LOT of research to develope his character profile. You'd be surprised at how many different interpretations of Lucifer there are! I settled on this one and built a story around it that would be effective and relate to the rest of the characters, people seem to be relating to it really well and that's very encouraging to me! This is a very accurate looking pic of what Lucifer would look like, it's funny how people imagine him being ugly, having horns and a tail (that's where the phrases "snake" and dragon" come into play). I do have to disagree on him deserving sympathy....But he was a cherub, and as a small note: he has always been bound in Heaven over the watch of Micheal. Still very great piece (and it's also ironic that he is wearing white!).

Wow. A really interesting story, an interpretation I've not heard before. I don't think it's cliche at all, more than likely Sephiroth was a cliche off that devil story than the other way around.

Wai wai!?!?! Don't go shooting yourself, shoot your boyfriend. This picture is the absolute best representation of Lucifer I've ever seen. Like a combination of how I imagine Anne Rice's "Memmnoch the Devil" and Lucifer in "Paradise Lost". The picture is gorgeous right down to the missing wing. I love the little bit of blood and the position of his other wing is awesome! Your CG skills are beyond amazing, I adore the colors you chose! *fav loves inifnite times* Gorgeous! ;is in love;

Yeah, the anatomy is a little off on this one! I try to hide my flaws with pretty colouring! I can only hope that the pretty wings distracted you enough that all the little problems aren't that noticable!!

Beautiful work...very brilliantly colored. In the execution, it reminds me a bit of the craft of Wen-M when he did Uriel, Michael, etc. Very different styles, but a similar sort of look. Excellent job.

Thank you, I've seen some of Wen-M's work. His stuff is amazing and blows a lot of my work out of the water. I try to draw more of my inspiration for coloring from a variety of different artists, I would never have the patience of skill to do some of the stuff that he does tho! It's kinda difficult to do pieces now because his work is so well known and working with the same theological characters I try to be as original as I can.

I really like your artistic interpretation of Lucifer as the Morning Star. I think it's fairly original, because too many people focus on making him either demonic or some bishonen w/ the same personality as the Lucifer portrayed as Al Pacino in "The Devil's Advocate".
Btw, cliche's work if you use them correctly - at least they are marketable. Harry Potter's famous trio of characters proves this.

Yeah, it is technically... but Lucifer was created second only to God so I think that despite his rank he is still the most powerful angel!
