Red Turtle Cay
It’s a curious tale to tell, a red turtle with a jolly roger upon its shell. 20 leagues south and 30 leagues west is a remote island where these reptiles nest. A tiny Island with a shallow reef makes Red Turtle Cay a hard place to reach.
Most attempts to collect the exotic shell with the skull and bones, usually ends in shipwreck and a drink with Davy Jones.

At least now we know the origin of Jack Sparrow's "Sea turtles" term. One day somebody asked him who are the truest pirates of the Caribbean and he simply replied "Sea turtles, mate. Just look at those skulls and crossbones on their shells."
