Who knows why? Maybe it's as you say, with Octamum treating Vinyl accordingly. Or maybe. Maybe she's unwilling to let go of those happy times with Tavi, finding solace in caring and treating those that are still young. Perhaps losing her child as she found independence in the grand scheme of things that we call life was too much for her to bear, explaining the rather sporadic attitude she had when she was introduced to Vinyl, as she saw something that could satiate her innermost desires, her passionate it were.
Or maybe it is because she acts like a foal. Either way she's terrifying.

If I had to recommend a game for you, play team fortress 2. It's for PC, but if I can play it well on a laptop, anyone can play it.
