Lauren rolled her eyes. “Oh, lighten up, little sis. The shrinking only lasts twenty-four hours. Besides, Alex just loves it. I mean, wouldn’t you if you were a kid? She gets to play with her mom and her in aunt in way no kid has ever experienced before.”

Her little sister shook her head. “Like I said, crazy indulgent. Oh, my.” Carly pointed behind Lauren. “Don’t look now, but there’s a giant hand coming in here.”

Lauren smiled. “Yeah, that’s my ride. Come on, Carly. Get in the spirit of this. It will be fun. You’ll see.”

As Lauren said it, the giant fingers closed around her, enclosing her from just below her breasts to her ankles.

As she was lifted and hauled out of the cage, Alex gave out with a thunderous giggle. “Aww, Mom, you’re so cute! Let me get a good look at you!”

Carly shook her head again, watching her sister zoom up before the huge, grinning face of her daughter. Lauren looked completely unconcerned in the grasp of the giant child. In fact, judging from her answering giggle, she was actually enjoying this.

She watched the giant girl turn her doll-sized mom in her hand, adjusting her fingers so that she could expose different parts of her body for inspection. As Carly watched the examination, it occurred to wonder about what Lauren had said a moment before about Alex and her toys.

“Alex hardly ever breaks her toys anymore.”
