actually, if this is a commercial airplane, this would be the best plane:
These soldiers are probably not carrying any firearms with them, if an opposing group sneaks a group 3-4 man aboard and 2 of those DO have firearms, this plane is good as done for
Also, taking out the soliders that are supposed to protect the people,
is a strong sign of fearlessness in the enemy, and dents the morale of the opposing side.
Now for a strong point look at how "inspired" (brainwashed IMO but let's leave that aside) most USA soldiers seem when they go in for the attack. If you actually take down a plane like this as an opposing group, it leaves a mark of shame on the USA for, once again, bad checking at airports, and a weaker then thought military... no matter how defenseless they were.
Now i am neither pro nor con on both ends, just throwing that out there, it's just something to consider.

you realize that military don't just learn how to fire guns, but also learn a lot of hand-to-hand combat, right? Despite the point you were trying to make, it would still be a very very very short hijack.

I think the point you make is overestimated, never EVER underestimate your enemies, especially not one so good at guerrilla warfare.
I would look to point to the fact that (assuming this is about the Al-Quaida terrorists) the "enemy" here has already proven the willpower of their members because they disregard their personal lives for their own greater good as a whole. That in itself is something to be reckoned with, if they disregard their own lives like that, imagine how easily they would pull the trigger on their enemies.
It may be true that the USA military is better trained, but don't forget the USA actually trained some of the known deceased perpetrators themselves, which again points to deep tactics of infiltrating.Β
