That's an interesting shot - an unusual bird with an unusual meal (at least from my perspective). I'd love to see a hoopoe in the wild - it has such a flamboyant appearance, complete with a fancy looking crest 
We occasionally get a few visitors from their species, though these guys do not nest in Finland. Looks like this guy found a good, juicy centipede. Good for him (or her), but I for one wouldn't want a centipede of that size anywhere near me D=. Which makes me wonder: was this shot taken in Bulgaria? And if so, are those big centipedes common in there? Just looking at that thing gives me heebie-jeebies, and this is coming from a person who doesn't usually mind spiders (as long they're too small to bite me).
