"Come hither, hither, pretty Fly, with the pearl and silver wing;
Your robes are green and purple, there's a crest upon your head;
Your eyes are like the diamond bright, but mine are as dull as lead."
Alas, alas! how very soon this silly little Fly,
Hearing his wily, flattering words, came slowly flitting by;
With buzzing wings she hung aloft, then near and nearer drew, -
Thinking only of her brilliant eyes, and green and purple hue;
Thinking only of her crested head - poor foolish thing! At last,
Up jumped the cunning Spider, and fiercely held her fast.
He dragged her up his winding stair, into his dismal den
Within his little parlor - but she ne'er came out again!"

"Will you walk into my parlor?" said the Spider to the Fly,
"'Tis the prettiest little parlor that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlor is up a winding stair,
And I have many curious things to show you when you are there."
"Oh no, no," said the Fly, "to ask me is in vain;
For who goes up your winding stair can ne'er come down again."
Nothing like the original! Glad you liked it. The image was a perfect match!

This is one of the few Truly Amazing pictures I've seen here on DA, and also one of my All Time Favorites. Nice shot, my friend!

The pollen stuck over it somehow reminds me of the dribbles of spilled food on a small child. Not sure why. Very cute.

Oh wow!! I love jumping spiders! My mom and I joke alot because it seems every time she begins to draw on her tablet, there's a jumping spider on her laptop. So now jumping spiders are her mascots.
Beautiful job of capturing this gorgeous specimen!

*Flails about.* I always squeal and dance around inside when I see an awesome photo of a Jumper! The fact that you've caught it having lunch and dusted just so delicately with the pollen makes it even more fantastic! The glare in it's eyes make it kind of look like it's watching you, too, hehe. You've caught the pollen on the stamens as well, which is really, really neat.
This is an AWESOME capture!
