Description
My buddy is working on an RPG called Cyclopean Stars and needed an image to represent the game while he playtests it. Stylistically this was a real struggle for me but it felt pretty good to stretch my art wings. He wanted a lot of metaphorical meaning embedded, a perspective reminiscent of analytical cubism, and a general sense of lovecraftian horror without showing any monsters. I'm not sure I pushed it quiet as far as it should have gone but he seemed happy with the result. It ended up being a mixture of pen and ink, acrylic paint, and a fair amount of digital collage.
