About a year ago I bought a game called "Gaslands". It's like "Car Wars" (which sounds cool but it painfully slow to play) with modern "X-Wing: Miniatures" mechanics. But, really, I wasn't super interested in the game. In fact, I haven't tried playing it yet. For me, it was an excuse to modify and repaint Hot Wheels cars into detailed auto-combat miniatures.

So, since then, I've been working on these 6 cars.

Each was bought at Walmart for a buck each, disassembled and stripped, modified with $3 worth of spare Warhammer 40k bits, and painted up with cheap acrylic paint. A pretty good amount of hobby time for a small financial investment!

Now they're finished, making up 3 teams of 2 color-coordinated cars, and I'm ready to try the actual game!

If I like it, I may build a more specialized team and work on terrain!
