This is a really awesome perspective; I haven't seen any other birds drawn like this, although I get a lot of wildlife deviations in my watchbox. The contrasting shades on the beak are my favorite part about the pic, but I love how the eyes were kept blank, too. Realistically they might shine more, but this adds an ominous effect (I'm picturing an eagle out of some folklore or whatnot).
And why in the world did the b&w group turn you down? o_O
