Description This is a monocle piece i made a long time ago when i was in college. The whole theory behind it is that when a person sees thru it they can see people for who they really are. Its a piece made of different meterials. The handle is made of wood carved by me of course! ... the eye part is fabricated with copper and brass. The handle is wrapped in leather. The lense part is a real lense that i took from my old glasses. I attached it with mini-bronce screws.

This Is very cool. My teacher made some wands out of copper pipes and such, but this is much better. The juxtaposition of wood, metal, and glass is always (well almost always) very evocative and blends different states of matter. Nice craftwork too. *tiny screws* I like the idea behind it too, and the different materials lead me to believe it takes those different perspectives to percieve the truth.

Nice concept and integration of natural and man made materials...cool handle shape, definately has the feel it's an artifact from a forgotton epock or a post apocaliptic shamans ritual device...great piece!looking forward to your additional submissions! MM
