My piece for the Cinefamily 30th Anniversary Celebration of Jem and the Holograms. 8x10; gouache on watercolor paper; 2015

Jem was a HUGE influence on me as a child. I still feel to this day that I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for some of the messages that show drove home. Hard work, friendship and magic. I know my hair wouldn't have gone thru so many colors with out it's influence (much to my parents chagrin). Stormer was always my favorite. She was the bad girl with a heart of gold and probably the hardest working Misfit. She wrote most of the songs and never got any credit. Only wish I had more time to spend on this piece (was only contacted a week before the deadline) so I could do my usual OCD amount of detail.
