Description
University project where we were tasked with making a paraphrase of a famous painting and at the same time somehow relating the paraphrase piece to the gaming culture.
This is a paraphrase of Gustave Courbets "Le Désespéré" or "The Desperate Man".
It's obviously the famous Captain Jack Sparrow caught in a moment of great despair!
The background scene esthetics was inspired by the game "The Secret of Monkey Island".
All done with Adobe Illustrator.
