Description

Trappist-1d is the third planet in the Trappist-1 system which orbits on the edge of the habitable zone. It's a small terrestrial planet with a third of an earth mass. Like most (or all) other planets in the system Trappist-1d is tidally locked which means that the same side of the planet always faces the star. Tidal locking can create a hot and a cold side and lead to a so called "eye ball planet".
