04/12/11: sharpness and color edit
4th tablet work, I'm still learning how to use this thing xP
I was just sketching randomly and I had this idea, it was just one building at first, but then things started getting bigger and bigger and there's the (partial) result. It's not a WIP, but I'll have to tweak some stuff, just need some patience haha. There was no REAL inspiration, it was kinda improvised, tho the "recon-alien-hunter-stealth-thing" was kinda inspired by WOTW Tripods.
The concept is that the humans that survived an alien invasion are being chased by these "recons" to be "rebuilt" by the invaders so they can be part of an alien-driven evil, dark, dystopian society of doom and all that stuff. *clichΓ©*
That's the shittiest story you ever heard, but I needed a concept so whatever haha

i have to say WOW this is very well done. There is a great mood in this artwork a sens of death and darkness. While this is not a orignal concept, i have seen this idea many times before, it is very well done. There is no mistakes in perspective and i cant see any mistakes in the drawing at all. The only thing i dont like is the sky i think you could of made it alot more dramtic to add to the feel to this peice of artwork. Overall i think it is a well put together, your technique is amazing, the artwork is moody and atmospheric and it has a strong impact. To be honest i love it, it is my kinda of artwork i love. Keep it up i would love to see more from you.

Wow, now this is an intresting art piece o_O you have got a hell load of imagination ! ^^ This looks seriously realistic, that it kindof scares me. It couldn't be better, (well maybe if it was less blurry - but thats too much to want ) I love the textures of the buildings, the sky, the colours- This is freakisly perfect. It has a great impact and is appealing to look at. I love your vision. I would have never come up with something like this, you surely think outside of the box, which is very good ! You have got serious talent! I like the two persons standing/running. Clever!

Wow, I must admit that this piece of art is by far very impressive and hardknocking, it really goes to get you.
The scenery reminds me of a after-Apocolypse days, the kind where mankind is now on the verge of extinction as if they were chased by either aliens or anything else. And I believe you truly reflected that.
I love how everything seem to be devasted away: the buildings to be precise. The way you made them is truly realistic and astonish and you've used colors that described best for that situation.
I've got to give props for the sky as even it is sorta sunny, it's covered as a meaning like "hope is lost".
You did very well! Great work!

First of all, let me say that this is amazing, and I was very impressed. One would think I would be jaded to seeing this kind of landscape over and over with how much various artists like to do this sort of thing, but something about yours makes it just that much more original.
I love how gritty it feels, just with the brown/yellow palette you used. The detail is amazing, I can't even imagine how frustrating parts of this must have been. I also love the light that shines through the clouds; it's a small detail, to be sure, but I still like it. I also like the landlines that are integrated into the piece. In my mind, it's the small details that make a work of art a true masterpiece instead of just another painting.
One thing I did notice is the alien-looking things that are shining light look a tad bit awkward. I don't know why, but perhaps the tentacles just don't seem to fit. Maybe that's just me. The extra light sources are another favorite of mine, though.
