Description This image is to help explain the state of affairs for my canceled Star Wars Fanfiction Series: Star Wars: The Shadow Wars.

Note: The information below is from my own universe which is a blend of old and new canon and is not to be considered canon in any other universe but mine.

The image above was acquired via Garry's Mod.

Note: This is a semi-original weapon. It is essentially the vanilla Blaster Rifle model from the Knights of the Old Republic games but with a more modern-Star Wars (Prequel/Original Trilogy) twist. The name is a reference to the original KOTOR game. I.e. Knights of the Old Republic, which was released in July 13th 2003 (7/13/2003)

"Observation: I feel strangely comfortable with this rifle. It seems...familiar somehow." - HK-47 upon picking up a Knight-73 Blaster Rifle.

Developed in the years following the Battle of Jakku, the Knight-73 was developed by Czerka Arms in the hopes of developing a replacement military grade rifle for the New Republic's Military Forces. However the rifle was passed over in favor of the EL-16HFE blaster rifle which would prove more formidable and lighter than the Knight-73. However the Knight-73 has seen increased popularity with mercenaries and militias.

The Knight-73 is based off of older time tested and reliable blaster models found within Czerka Arms' database. The Knight-73 strongly resembles blasters used as far back as the Mandalorian Wars nearly 4000 years before the Battle of Yavin, however this resemblance is chalked up as mere coincidence. Regardless, the Knight-73 is a versatile blaster rifle. The rifle has three firing setting, semi-automatic, automatic, and a two-round burst fire mode. The rifle's accuracy is fairly decent so marksmen can benefit from the semi-automatic mode. For front-line soldiers, automatic is the mode for them, while the burst fire mode is a good neutral ground. The rifle can be upgraded with a HUD Uplink Sensor for users who prefer wearing some kind of helmet while in the field, allowing a holographic display to show the rifle's targeting line. An optional electronic scope can also be added, the rifle featuring a mounting bracket by default for easy add-on. A stock can also be added for improved stability. One feature that comes in handy for marksmen is a holographic sight that can be mounted just in front of the iron sights and project a small holographic display of where the blaster is pointed, whilst also displaying relevant targeting info such as wind speed and direction, any degree of magnetic interference and scan for any energy shielding.

The only drawback to the Knight-73 is its weight. The rifle is heavier than most rifles its size but the stopping power, accuracy, and different firing modes often makes up for the added weight.
