Just because different things are from the same franchise doesn't mean that they are all canon. Just look at Star Wars, which even has different levels of canonicity. And the comic staff making things up as they go while the show staff tends to ignore them isn't exactly what I'd call coordination.
Basically, it all comes down to whether one considers the comics' events to be canon unless the show contradicts them or non-canon until the show confirms them. It's okay if you chose the former, but personally, I prefer the later.

I was just saying that even if they aren't canon, you can make them as well as the Mirror versions of Sombra, Celestia, and Luna. It was only a suggestion for if you decided to take a break from making EQG characters...

I'll admit that, sometimes, suggestions can be a good thing. However, it would be nice if they had at least some relevance to the things I'm focusing on... which, if it wasn't obvious enough from my gallery, tend to be canon characters (with only a few exceptions). Everything else simply looks like a thinly veiled request, no matter how many times Β people emphasize that it's "only a suggestion".
Sorry, but that's the way I see it. If you are that interested in having sprites of OCs or alternate universe versions of some characters, I suggest that you stop waiting for me to do them for you.

Maybe one day, you could add EQG versions of Fluffle Puff and Queen Chrysalis based on their designs in 's YouTube videos. Just a suggestion!

Hmm, that's pretty unlikely. Granted, making pony Fluffle Puff was fun, but as far as Equestria Girls go, I don't plan on making any fan characters anytime soon.
But maybe someone else will do it someday. My EqG templates are available in my gallery, after all.

I'm not exactly sure how to get these onto the desktop ponies program... (or are they just standalone?) I'm on a Mac, and when I unzip the file with all the ponies, they are all .rar files. How can I get them onto the program?Β

You have to unpack the rar files, too. Every pony is basically a folder with the pony's name and all necessary files included in it. Just put those folders into the program's "ponies" folder and that's it.

Well, you have to download the Desktop Ponies program itself. Many ponies (including Shining Armor) are already included with it.

Do you know any way for me to make the EQG sprites a little shorter? They're awesome, but they're a bit big compared to the pony forms. Would I be able to shrink them with just any image editor, or is there some kind of encryption or something I'd need to change?

I guess it depends on the program you use. The sprites themselves can be shrunken down easily enough, I guess, but they probably won't look as good anymore.

I was afraid of that. If I do try it, I'll definitely make sure to make backups of the sprites, just in case the resizing goes bad.Β
Also, do you happen to have bases for EQG-style sprites? I imagine they'd be even harder to make full sprites out of than the normal pony templates, but I figure it could be fun to try. If you don't, that's fine. I just figured it couldn't hurt to ask

Yeah, they are a bit more difficult to make than the ponies. Just animating the clothes (especially the boots) is not something you usually have to worry about when spriting ponies.
