Description
However she came to be like this, you can come up with her backstory. But the general idea is she is a dullahan with a head and body with separate, opposing minds. The head is more scholarly, trying to study whilst the body has its own plan. Head ofc has no control of the body other than to verbally coax it to do what the head wants it to do. In here, the head tries to convince the body to go back and help her finish her notes but the body got bored and decided it wants a break to party.==================================
Of course you can come backstory, which I would prefer you do, but here is my backstory version.
I have two variance of it.
She's a teen that wishes she could enjoy both the school life, and the party life. She somehow manages to find some magical power (genie or otherwise) which was bit erratic and unconventional. When spoke her desires to the magical entity, it granted her wish in a not-so-expected way. Now this is where my variance branches off.
Variance 1:
She's like this for rest of her life. Of course she can wish her normal life back, but unfortunately she lost contact with the magical entity somehow, and obviously even if she did know where it was, trying to convince the body to do it may be more difficult.
Variance 2:
This one is a bit more darker. Most of the year she is normal, body and head attached and all. Then in a certain time period, her head comes off and the head and body becomes separate entities. After the time period ends, the head and body magically reattaches themselves. However, this is where it gets dark a bit. In order for the head and body to reform at the end of the time period, they MUST be within close vicinity in the last hour of the time period. If the head and body are not, even if its a few inches apart, they will die. Of course, both head and body is aware of the situation, and they usually are good at getting back together. But of course, the body sometimes tends to push it further than it should, since it is only independent once a year within a certain time period. The head knows and remembers everything, but body only has memories during the period of its independence. Once whole, the body will not know, nor remember anything otherwise,

I like your realism that you sometimes use again and again
The bone from her stump
And as the head stands on her table, how her neck she wears awwrrr, sorry I swarm
But she can put her head back on, even though she seems to have no control over her body
