To me, Miranda's always had a kind of "Masterpiece Theatre" feel to her, so while she'd certainly TF someone into a mannequin or inflatable toy upon request, it never felt like the kind of form she'd choose if someone left it up to her own discretion. So, thinking about what kind of forms she'd personally choose to TF someone into, a book stand seemed the most likely -- a nice decoration for the library, and helpful for her studies. It's even mounted on casters, so it can be moved about the library with ease. (Or shoved off to one side, if necessary. )
