Massilia: January of 37 B.C.

A New Home

A new life means a new home. It might not be the grass nest they’re used to in the wilds but from now on this will be their base of operations, where they sleep, eat and relax after a day's work. Do they share it with other cats? Perhaps multiple humans?
You could depict them seeing the house for the first time, or perhaps being allowed out of their cage into the living quarters, or maybe their housemate giving them a tour? Or maybe home is just where their bed is!

For Sioux

The comfortable home of Madison was immediately brought to a buzz of excitement when that creature was brought through the doors. The cold and ruthless snow squall outside couldn't conceal the golden feline as he stepped into the firelight for all to see. A large and imposing mix, adorned with a tight muzzle. But even that wasn't enough to conceal those long and dangerous teeth as they reflected the glow of the hearth. Whether it could be helped or not.

Argos Panoptes was immediately displeased. They had heard the many stories of those wild cats that lived as vagabonds outside the grand design of Rome. a horrible fate that Argos was none to keen to imagine themselves in, or to welcome one of those said dreamers into their life. And who would they be if they had not made their mistrust known?

It was an intense stare down the moment they had locked eyes with one another. This so-called "Sioux" was hard to read, but very well could have been sizing the young apprentice up. Argos swallowed down a brewing discomfort and returned a gaze of hostility back at the wildcat's direction.

"It doesn't matter to me how hard you try,
and whether or not you win everyone else's trust.
You will never have mine.
Because you don't belong here."

Argos doesn't like the new roommate

This was an extremely fun collab between myself and the incredibly talented KingKinu ! She did the lining and coloring, and I did the sketch, shading, and background.
