Hannah Juliana Mullens is an 18 year old Afro-Trinidadian-American that lives with her father in Itaewon, a most known area for military and foreign families in South Korea. Her father is a retired U.S Army Lieutenant that decided to move him and daughter all the way to South, Korea for unknown purposes. Before Hannah could gather herself to leave America, she is hit with bad news from the love of her life and first love, Jeremy King. He tells her that he gotten her best friend pregnant and Hannah is overwhelmed with terrible emotions and lashes out at him. After the fighting in his mustang, Hannah decides to go forth to Itaewon with her father and forget that she ever knew Jeremy existed. Her new life awaits her in a foreign land, only filled with love, pain and more heartbreak along the way.

I wanted Hannah to be as real as possible because I didn't want to write her as a Mary-Sue character. I wanted Hannah to be emotional, strong, and a human being that makes mistakes. She goes into a depression state after what Jeremy said to her and it really got to me when I wrote that scene out. Hannah is a good character that still has a lot of growing up to do. Not in a bad way, but in a way that she has to forgive and love herself. I wanted the three girls to have their own stories with happy and sad endings because so many things happen in our lives and we don't take notice of it like we should. I really love each and every last one of them because they really portray what some girls are going through. Relationships, sex, etc. I wanted this to be real and still have a good vibe with it.
