Just an explanation, since it seems that a lot of people need it
Oh, and now they made a change - they added more badges, and made some of them easier to get. The new list is a follows:
Llama = 1
Super Llama = 10
Albino Llama = 50
Super Albino Llama = 100
Ninja Llama = 500
Fancy Llama = 1,000
King Llama = 2,500
Spartan Llama = 5,000
Wizard Llama = 7,500
Golden Llama = 10,000

I had noticed the Llama for a long time on other profiles and how it miraculously changed from plain to having a cape. Pretty soon there was in fact a few cakes in there with it and I noticed It said "View Badges!". I finally wnet "Ooh, something is going on besides a random Llama picture!" so I clicked and saw all the people who had gifted it.
My remaining question: Do the badges mean "Kudos on your work, I liek it a lot."?

It can mean that - but it's really just a little "nudge" to the person, a hug, or whatever the person giving it actually thinks at the time

Answer to the first one: A lot of people asked me for an explanation - and it's much easier to link them to one than having to write the same thing all the time.
Answer to the second: They are just for fun - I don't think they can be used for anything really
