Im sure no one really cares. But this is how I do it. I usually have a reference photo in my Photoshop so I can get the human poses down. I have two pictures of Cloud. I made a backside of her so that I would have a reference to go to if I needed a back side.

So I usually use the same colors on each picture. The reason being is because it looks consistent. Like she is going to be a character in a video game.

Last but not least. I almost 99% of the time have a billion and five layers. Not just pixel art, but regular art also. I really do not like colors being on the same layer. Some people can do it, but I can't. Anyway, yeah. This is pretty much a summary of how I do it.

Oh though, I don't usually make the pose in the size that it is in. I usually draw it in like 800x800px then shrink it down. ON this one though. I didn't. I drew it in 133x150px.
