Self Harm in the Shadows of InsanityHey guys, thanx for all the comments, favs and love
bit concerned as to what some of you are thinking about this piece,
i made it for a uni project, i have never, or shall ever self harm,
just to make that clear.

Love the subtle things here. When I saw it in the thumbnail, I thought it just looked kind of neat, but then I maximized it and caught the little things, like the shadow of the hand and "you" written in tiny letter near the blade.

the grittyness of the scalpel contrasts beautifully with the dream-like qualities of the shadows, composition is pleasing (using 1/3 one side, 2/3 other is usually satisfying) - great work, congrats on the DD

I can very much relate to the general feel of this.
The "weapon of choice" is mesmerizing and I love the shadow to it, too. The colours give a lonely, metallic, apathetic feel to it, without being overdone, or overly depressive. Beautiful!

brilliant concept. You're the first artist I've seen depict self harm other than just a picture of a person with bleeding arms.
The subtlely is like a sheer curtain put in front of the overwhelming emotion that hits those of us who are caught in the SI loop.
I think this is amazing.

Its a nice concept, i didint see the shape of the shadow until a couple of seconds, it give the whole piece a new meaning beyond aestethics. Great work.
