• Lars inherited the Liquor Store in a way. After the previous owners passed away he took over because they had no family left in Home.
The liquor store has a cellar below it that was a bunker at some point but was turned into a aria for brewing alcohol.
That’s also where Lars sleeps

1x (Ice causes normal damage in a battle scene but if used maliciously can cause some seriously damage)
• Lars’ #1 weakness is water, the type and water in general. Due to his ability he weighs far too much to properly swim, and if he were to fall into deep water he could drown without really any chance of survival.
• Fire, although his ground typing does help a bit, fire is still very bad for his steel plates and can cause permanent damage if fire attacks are used maliciously against him or just normal fire gets at him.
• Kiddo can’t handle ice or the cold all that great either, his steel freezes and can give his soft underbelly or his back shell frostbite. This is especially bad because his second line of defence after his steel is a thick rocky shell, and if that freezes it can weaken it, and if it’s re al l y bad it can cause permanent damage.
• And well he’s just weak to Fighting and Ground
• He’s not a very good battler.
• Stupid.

• He’s completely immune to poison and electric attacks, this also plays in with his having an amazing immune system, Lars very veeerry rarely gets sick.
• He’s slow on his legs but FAST in his lil ball form (example in anatomy), and being so heavy he can cause some real damage.
• His thick shell and heavy steel plates are a natural shield and he can use it to wrap around and protect people from all sorts of attacks or natural disasters without causing himself any damage. His body is built to outlast a l ot of shit.
• Amazing defense in general tbh..
• His positivity is what’s keeping him alive tbh.

Lars is a charismatic young man who knows how to have a good time and also make people hate him. He’s a good kid and doesn’t mean any real harm, but his personality is very, “you love em or you hate em”. This doesn’t bother Lars though, infact he finds it funny when people find him annoying and he’ll use that to entertain himself. He's a smiley guy, you never see the kid frown-- seriously, never, it can be kind of creepy actually when he’s clearly mad or sad. He’s ridiculously outwardly optimistic and tries to find the silver lining of every situation, it’s almost like his way of coping with the disaster around every turn.
Despite Lars’ happy attitude n love for fun, he’s quite lazy, the only reason he keeps his shop running is because he knows how to do it and is good at it. If he can’t get something right the first time he’ll probably whine and sneak away to nap-- unless its really important of cores. Hes also stupidly brave, which can be seen as a good or bad thing-- he has a hard time really registering what he should be afraid of, the only thing he’ll honestly acknowledge being deep water. He’ll throw himself into situations that could potentially be deadly or harmful to himself but he is very careful about other people's safety.
Finally, Lars has very thick skin but that doesn’t mean things can’t get to him. He deals with his emotions very eternally and isn’t very keen on letting people in or talking about anything. The kid would be traumatized and scared but would keep insisting he’s fine none the less. Some might think it’s not a good thing for someone like him to live in a literal liquor store.
No one really knows where Lars came from, not even Lars. All we know is that on May 1st, a butt naked baby fell out of a bush, presumably only a couple months old. Lucky for him, where he fell was in Home, a rather large community compared to what you’d normally see in that day n age. And also luckily for the baby, a young girl named Athena happened to stroll by not long after he happened to just. Fall out of a bush. And like anyone should, she picked up the baby and quickly ran him back to her home where he was quickly welcomed to the family.
Lars was a rather quiet kid, he didn’t have much to say and instead would just tail Athena everywhere. Nothing really ever made him cry-- when he’d fall down he’d hardly feel it and food was never much of a problem. He didn’t start really talking until he was around 4, and after that things quickly picked up. Once Lars could speak, he made sure everyone knew-- he was a lot bubblier n smiley by 5, and quite known around Home for being oddly strong for his age and always trying to help out.
Not a whole lot went on during his childhood aside from the normal Home disasters, although that never seemed to phase the kid. Although as he got a little older he did get a bit more adventurous, and one day ended up straying off into the forest after hearing something and was gone for almost 12 hours exploring. When he finally wandered back out he had a cat with him, who end up being his best friend for basically the rest of his life.
As he got older, around 13 Lars got a job at a Liquor store because he wanted his own money and really didn’t have any interest in going to college. He didn’t really see himself in guard (even if he could of been good at it) and he didn’t really wanna go threw all the safety training for explorers. And then well…. Medical or research is basically out of the question (Although he was a regular around the Researchers headquarters-- bothering his “friend”).
Years went by, Lars ended up going into Merchants because he’s a lazy fuck and worked full time for the family that owned the Liquor store, doing deliveries, brewing, etc. Things were never perfect in Home, but he was satisfied with his life-- Until he was 18.
When Lars was 18, randomly disaster came Home’s way-- this was nothing new to him, but he’d never seen anything on… this scale. During this catastrophe, the leaders, who’d he’d called his parents growing up, were killed, along with both of the owners of the store he worked for, and many more people. He managed to survive unscaved, along with many of his other close friends, but that hardly healed the hurt of all the losses they did have that day.
After the funeral, everything had to go back to “normal”, just instead with Athena as Homes new leader, who now didn’t have half the time she use to for him. That didn’t bother him too much though, he was proud of big sis, and he had his own work to get to.
Lars ended up moving into the Liquor store and taking over his old bosses shop-- they had no family or anyone planned to take over after them, so he just did it for them. And since then, life hasn’t been perfect, but he’s satisfied.
◗ Anatomy:

• Lars has steel plates on his arms, legs, tail, and down his back. They’re very thick but still very vulnerable to fire.
• Under his steel plates he has a thick rock-like shell that can’t be burnt but his vulnerable to extreme colds, and Fighting type attacks.
• He has a soft underbelly from his chest to his inner thighs, this is the most vulnerable part of his body which can be completely protected if he curls into a tight ball. His tummy is very squishy n soft, it has thin fur and almost feels like a peach.
• His fingers and toes are also steel but hes sure to keep the points dull so he doesn’t sta b someone on accident.
• Do to Lars’ typing, he’s also surprisingly strong and can lift more than he weighs, (so that’s over 320 pounds).
• Lastly his bones are literally made out of metal, although a slightly softer metal than that’s on his back.
• Other fun facts: if you pull a plate out of Lars' back, you could paralyze or kill him because it fucks up the spine.
• Battling with fire types is very risky because if hes exposed to too much heat for too long, it could either melt his steel plates and cause permanent damage, or afterwords he could get very sick because of the heat being absorbed into his body and having no proper way out do to the thickness of his rock-like shell.
• It is ve r y bad if Lars' shell cracks-- and it'd hurt a lo t, although its not super hard to fix. Filling it with thick mud and letting it sink into the crack will help it heal faster, although the spot will still hurt for a couple weeks.
• It is very hard for Lars to break his bones due to his skeleton being made of steel, and because of his thick shell. (Although it is possible if you try hard enough, but that. would be v e r y bad)
• He is cold blooded.
• Can go a very long time without water or food (although food is a bit more necessary).
