Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental
hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the
staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so
they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the
machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on
a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you
and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and
she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste
this to ten comments in the next ten minutes you will have the best day of your life tomorrow.You

The fact that Fluttershy agreed to go along with such a spiteful plan is one of the reasons why I hate that episode. Not a single one of the Mane 6 is in character.

But her personality was grossly exaggerated. I know you're supposed to view her as a jerk, but she becomes sympathetic once the others put their ridiculously vindictive and nasty plan into action. The fact that they decided to teach a friend humility in such a bombastic was is insulting. The scene with them praising Mare-do-well is a prominent example of how screwed up the plan was. Each of the ponies doing the Mare-do-well scam only praised their own contributions, and the whole scene was only to piss off Dash. The costume itself (other than to provide a needless Batman reference) only served the purpose of hiding their identity from one pony. Dash. They could have easily did their heroic deeds as themselves to more properly show how to receive praise with humility. And Rainbow Dash reacted to the revelation that her "friends" were bucking with her life unreasonably well. Not to mention the fact that in the end it's Dash, not the "Elements of Harmony" who has to apologize for what she's done. The episode unnecessarily defamed Rainbow Dash's character. The episode would have been improved if each member of the Mare-do-well squad became convinced that they were the best Mare-do-well. And when the big Mare-Do-Well celebration happens five Mare-do-wells show up. Hilarity ensues. The lesson becomes less "If you don't like something your friend does or says you can team up and harass them until they change it" and more "anyone's ego can get away from them". It's still one of the worst episodes of an otherwise great show.
