Okay short story time. Back when I was taking midterms and finals in high school most of my teachers had this rule where we couldn’t have our phones out until everyone finished, because they didn’t want people cheating. Which was pretty understandable, except for the fact that we had two hours to complete our tests, I only ever took about an hour, and we always had that one kid who took forever on tests and never studied. So I would bring in my dads old Game Boy Color. He gave it to me when I was much younger and he only had two games left, Tetris and Link’s Awakening. While everyone else hid there phones behind books I would play Link’s Awakening. Never got in trouble for it and now that game holds a special place in my heart.
...I was also wildly unpopular in school and I’m going to choose to say it’s because I have social anxiety and not because I was a senior playing on a game boy color in 2019 or because one of my friends cosplayed Black Butler characters to our France themed prom with me.
