I can use whatever fancy longer lens during a shooting, but when you start to work at closer range, I always go back to my beloved Voigtländer Nokton 58mm f1.4 SL II, and this glass surely knows how to perform!
Inside the nearest eye of Manya you can clearly see the reflection of the huge glass door on the right, which is the best kind of illumination you could possibly hope for.

I’ve finished extracting from Lightroom all the pictures from this shooting, paying particular attention to the BW.
Now the long and tedious retouching phase has begun, I don’t want to overdo it with Manya because it would be an insult to her genuine appearance, but it will still take me a long time.  Some people like to do crosswords or sudoku to relax after a long day, but I prefer retouching my pictures, particularly when I am delighted with the results like in this case.
