Basically Zez said some pretty harsh things to Beta which made him opt out of being in Harpoons crew. With no place to go or any motivation Beta left to be alone on the island of Ferris, where he would bump into Gear (the main villain in this au). After a long conversation and the craving for revenge Beta joined Gears posi. Zez and Beta would later meet each other, once friends they now meet again as enemies. However, this time Beta has a brand new batch of weapons and armor.
