Series Number '1-2'A lot of thinking went into this one, especially about his hair. I was thinking of giving him that "Fifth Element" look Gary Oldman had and just have that chunk of hair fall about his face, but then I figured..."Hey, my hair stylist has gel that holds very well...like glue." lol! So I left it as such.
As far as realism goes, I think this is my favorite personna. I've done Sirius, Remus, and Utonium...now Membrane (who also needs a first name). If there are Final Fantasy obsessors out there, more specifically the movie, I used Hein's features to help me with drawing this. And, oh, what beautiful features does he have. ^_^
Imagine what Dib looks like in my mind--for all you Dib-lovers out there. Heh heh heh...

If this is another PPG character good job! I don't know anything about the ppg's, (tho they are cute) but this is definitely great work you've got going here! I love the tone and depth of this picture... very strong. and I DEFINITELY like the hair and the shades!!
I can see a bit of Hein in the clothing, and a bit near the mouth area... he's definitely a good character to use as a ref model, lots of detail and 'character' to his face.
overall good job!
only two little critiques I can see, which is saying a lot because I have quite picky taste!
I think overall, the quality of the picture would look just a little better if the blending was just a tiny bit smoother, I don't know, maybe you wanted it to look the way it does with its current texture, but it just looks a little bit grainy in some of the shading.. uneven in tone I mean.
The other thing is the sunglasses look just a tiny bit far apart, making it appear that his eyes are also slightly further apart than normal eyes. I don't know the character, so maybe he looks that way, but it was just something I noticed. I know I've had lotsa probs through the years getting the correct spacing between eyes, they can be one of the more frustrating features of the face to get right because they're what we generally define someone by, so they leave a larger impression on us than most other features of the face/head.

Invader Zim. Not PPG. ^_^ And glad you could find something to critique about. Membrane is perfect...didn't know he could've been edited. LOL!!!!!! now my drawing skills. Yeah, they suck. I can do tons better but I'd rather jump the gun, rush my pencils, and start with another favorite cartoon character of mine.

nahh naahh NOPE! your drawing skills do NOT suck.. they're quite good! and if you're rushing your work, that's perfectly understandable, I know what it's like when you get frustrated with how long it's taking and you just want to get it over with NOW heh.

I just looked at the headgear a bit more, I really love the way you've done that, it looks quite solid and firmly planted on his head. That can be hard to achieve sometimes because often headgear can look like it's floating around the head depending on the artist, so I think you've done a great job there!

*pokes Utonium in the nose* Yeah...but if I poke Membrane in the nose, he might get ideas and use me for some crazy nose-poking experiment. Utonium is nicer. He's all "....okay, then." lol...Or just giggles insanely. Awwwwww........I can see him doing that too.
