Meet Isla, the fearsome but adorable genderbend version of the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.

She was once a beautiful princess who ruled her own land in t hidden part of the French Alps in 1721. (in other words a fictional part of the Alps.) Like the Prince form the Disney film, she was spoiled, selfish and unkind to others, and was ultermately punished after humiliating an Enchantress, who placed a spell on her castle, turned her servants into animate objects, and transformed her into a ferocious Beast.

Only instead of having a enchanted rose as her hourglass, Isla's curse pauses the aging process of herself and everyone in the castle. The spell can only be broken by learning to love another and earn their love in return, but Isla's monsterous form along with her firey temper prevents her from meeting anyone. And if that that weren't bad enough, the freightened locals have been spreading rumors of her, attracting game hunters who try to capture and kill her for personal gain, but luckily non have succeded. As the years turn into decades, and the decades turn into centuries, The monsterous princess had losr hope of ever finding someone who will love and accept who she was and free her from her curse.

But after three hundred years, Isla meets neurotc but kind-hearted art student, Alan Tyler (An alternate version of Alan O'Ryan) when he is seperated from his rambunctious college camping buddies when he is attacked by a Bear. Isla takes the boy to her castle, leading the camp group to falsely believe she was kidnapping him. Alan is initially terrified of Isla, but after learning of her troubled past, he offers to help her and her servants. Alan and Isla start bonding after she shows him her collection of valubles people had dumped or lost in her forest over the years. Isla couldn't figure out most of the newer gadgets worked, so Alan shows her how they work, impressing her.

Gradully, the two begin to grow closer as the days past, restoring Isla's long shattered hopes of not only returning to normal, but finding her true love. Let's just hope they stay clear of Alan's paranoid camping group long enough to reach their happliy ever after.
