Description
A tutorial for perfect high-pony tails. It takes patience and attention to detail to avoid any "bumps"!Just a note: don't be afraid of removing the wefts from the center. If you are not used to this, it can be intimidating. But don't worry! You can always sew them back on if you wish.

Kukkii is incredible at wig-styling! You can learn a lot from her tutorials, and many of my techniques are based off her work.

Here is another DA tutorial that I found quite useful (and less intimidating)
Wig stores:
-Ebay: I love buying wigs from ebay, but they are sometimes hit or miss. You get scan through the comments made on each seller's account to get an idea of the satisfaction levels of other customers.
-arda-wigs.com: Yeah this already seems like an arda-wig tutorial plug. I have just never had a bad experience with them. They are pricey though, but you get what you pay for.
-cosplay.com: usually have skin tops and a good amount of wefts. A reliable store.
-amphigory.com: Another reliable store with good quality wigs.
(There are more, I am sure - but these are the ones I deal with. Let me know if you have a fav!)
Hints!
-Again, lace front wigs are what you want, if it is in your budget, if you don't want bangs. Otherwise it will look very fake if you pull the hair back in the front.
-"Blended" wigs are usually good to look for. These wigs are not one flat color, but a combination of lighter and darker shades, reflecting the natural shade variations of real hair.
-"Skin tops" are also nice for lower ponytails (and wigs in general). If you wear you own hair in a low pony tail you notice that there is usually a 'part' where you can see bits of your scalp. Wigs with a skin top mimic this, making it more natural.
-As for wig fibres (such as Kanekalon), in general most Japanese wig fibers are high-end. Avoid wig hairs that look too "shiny"
-Heat resistant / non-heat resistant wigs: from my experience, mild heat can be used on any type of wig, and indeed it is necessary if you want to restyle it in any way. Heat "resets" the wig fibres, so that you are able to pull them into a different shape - whether from curly to straight, or flat to voluminous. I use my hair dryer on medium heat frequently, and either allow it to cool in the new shape, or blow cool air on it to set it. Be very careful using a hair straightener! They can only be used on certain types of wigs, so make sure first. Otherwise your wig will MELT! (it is plastic...)
